1st Appointment: The intake
Semi-structured, psychosocial interview about presenting problems, relevant experiences, family history, and engagement in treatment
Following Appointments:
Psychoeducation
Processing of past and current challenges
In-vivo skill development
Outside of Appointments:
Personalized homework (i.e., coping skills, self-assessments)
Final Appointment:
Usually determined between provider and client, based on personal goals, progress in treatment, and readiness
Sessions leading up to therapy graduation will prepare you for self-monitoring and autonomy
Testing
1st Appointment: The intake
Thorough, semi-structured questions about developmental history, course of symptoms, engagement in treatment, and presenting problems
2nd Appointment: Testing
Administration of psychological assessment
This can take multiple appointments
Final Appointment: Feedback
